GMAX GM76x Street Life Black A+++

This is my second GMAX MX helmet in 29 years of riding. This GM76x helmet in XL fits my long oval head shape similar to my prior Arai Signet GT (Profile series), AFX FX39DS, Scorpion EXO900, and HJC helmets which were all XL. Rounder shaped heads will feel cheeks getting squeezed. Like my past GM46x helmet this one vents well, is light, and the peak/visor does not catch the wind at speed anywhere near as bad as many MX helmets. The eyeport is large enough for either my new Oakley Pro goggles or my two pairs of Scott goggles (1 is a Recoil Pro, Other is winter goggle) without any issues. Nice narrow look from the front due to flat sides looks pretty aggressive. Graphics and finish on the matte black street life is very cool with subtle GMax logos that you barely see. The feel is a bit rubbery on the outside and is scratch resistant. Comfort is superb. Liner is washable. Tons of vents ... 17 reportedly, and lots of bang for the buck. Considered the HJC CL-X6 whic h is probably very nice too. Also considered an AFX FX-19 but my dual-sport AFX FX-39DS has such a small goggle port that none of my goggles fit well. After reading the Motorcyclist articles, that began in 2005, I no longer believe in Snell helmets as independent testing has repeatedly demonstrated that many (lighter) DOT helmets outperform (generally heavier) Snell helmets.
