Scorpion is a very good helmet

The thing that really first attracted me to this Scorpion helmet was the retractable windshield. I ride Harleys and I hate windshields, BUT I wear glasses and I have not found a comfortable goggle to go over my glasses that doesn't leak air or look like something out of a Star Wars movie with distracting edges. As a lover of "half helmets", this model immediately caught my attention so I thought it over. After a few days of research, I decided that the retractable / replaceable inner lens was too good to pass up. Upon arrival, I must say, the helmet was a bit heavier and clunky than I had hoped, but I tried to stay positive and just adjust it and give it a try. The first ride, I immediately noticed the weight of this helmet compared to other half helmets. It is definitely heavier and may not appeal to minimalist riders; however, the retractable visor is awesome. As soon as I put it down I was riding up the highway at 65-70mph without the watery eyes I normally suff er from with eyeglasses and windblast. Now that I have ridded a few times with it, I am used to the size and weight and love the helmet. The replaceable / changeable visor is fantastic and easy to swap out with many color options. I would recommend this helmet to anyone that wants to still have the look and feel of a half helmet and eye protection without a bulky, sweaty full face model.
