Icon Alliance Solid Rubatone Helmet Evolved refined. Icon has never been satisfied with the status quo - which is why we created the new Icon AllianceTM helmet. Based on the proven Alliance SSR, this nextgen helmet is fitted with a multitude of key refinements. The first revision is the new EPS liner. Weve listened to the customers requests and reshaped the EPS liner into a more oval geometry. This new headform increases rider comfort by slightly elongating the entire inner circumference. Combine this geometry with our removable Hydra-Dry wicking comfort liner and the result is a nearly perfect rider-focused enclosure. To further increase rider comfort, theyve revised the entire venting system. Much like a finely tuned motor, weve reshaped and enlarged the intake and exhaust ports for increased airflow. Additional ventilation ports have also been added to the lateral aspect of the helmet to further increase ventilation. The shield itself has been upgraded to Icons distorti on-free Pro-Shield. The Pro-Shield features the ProLock shield locking system, graphic enabled sideplates, fog-free coating, and a no-tools shield change interface. Continuing with our commitment to excellence, the Alliance is constructed with premier manufacturing processes and stringent quality assurance procedures. This, combined with rigorous testing, assures that the Alliance meets or exceeds the high safety standards set by DOT,ECE,SG and SAI. Great helmet

This is my third helmet. I've had gloss black scorpion and zox helmets, and this is by far superior to either of those for budget conscious helmets. The Rubatone looks AMAZING. The helmet is relatively light compared to the scorpion and zox helmets, and the wind noise is no issue at all for me. I see people complain about wind noise on so many helmets, yet they fail to realize this is a giant plastic sphere shaped object surrounding your head, of course there is going to be noise, but this helmet has a limited amount and I was impressed. Even when turning my head to check blind spots at 60mph, I get no additional wind buffeting.
I have a small head, and extra-small fits quite snug, but it is comfortable and allows me to have my ipod earbuds and sunglasses in. If you have a small head like I do, you know that helmets tend to make you looks like an astronaut/bobblehead, but I actually like the look of this helmet compared to the other two; appearance wise it looks good . I have no issue cleaning this simply with windex, as opposed to the other reviewer, and even after the spattering of bug carcasses, it cleans up nicely. For the price, I am incredibly happy with this helmet.

Nice helmet but it is impossible to clean or to keep clean. As soon as you grab it to put on your head its smugged.
